Even So, I Used to Be a Hero
(C105) [Shivelight (Shiv)] Koredemo Hero Datta noni
📝 Synopsis
Kai Nanahara, formerly known as the renowned superheroine Purple Fist, retired from crime-fighting to dedicate herself to a peaceful family life alongside her active hero husband Jin and young son Gou. When a suspicious new neighbor named Kurosaki arrives, Kai senses the sinister aura of the Demon Clan she once fought. Moving quickly to neutralize the threat before her family is harmed, she investigates his residence only to fall into an ambush. Captured and restrained, Kai is subjected to a demonic parasite designed to siphon Jin's heroic powers whenever they fight together. As the parasite rewires her senses, turning defiance into ecstasy, Kai is coerced into returning to hero duty in a revealing new uniform, setting the stage for an inevitable tragic downfall.

A compelling dark superhero corruption narrative featuring exquisite artwork and palpable psychological tension. The contrast between Kai's wholesome domestic bliss and her helplessness against demonic machinations makes for an engrossing read.
