Cradle of the Siren
[bnn (snul)] cradle (Golden Kamuy)
📝 Synopsis
Pushed past his physical and mental limits by relentless corporate overtime, salaryman Ogata collapses on a deserted beach, only to find himself stranded on an isolated island. There, he is captured by Koito, a haughty yet naive avian siren who has learned human speech after consuming the remains of a previous shipwreck survivor. Rather than devouring him, Koito makes an astonishing, earnest demand: he wants Ogata to help him lay fertilized eggs so he won't be left alone in the wilderness. Realizing there is no escape back to modern society, Ogata surrenders to his strange new domestic reality—discovering that life free from corporate exploitation might just be paradise.

A uniquely humorous and strangely endearing Golden Kamuy alternate universe tale blending absurd fantasy mating rituals with cynical corporate burnout relief.
